Well, I've been terrible at keeping up with just about everything these last few months. Not that I was ever very good at updating this here blog... oh well. Haven't been up to much lately. I did take photographs at a friend's wedding, and then I also got to take pictures at another friend's henna event!

outtakes: couples yoga & pure barre brookline
Hello hello! I have been running around all crazy-like for a few days. I'm sure I'll post more in detail about the other goings-on in my life at the moment, but for now, just look at some pretty people in sort-of-pretty pictures! :)
Right before Valentine's Day my wonderful models (aka my friends) willingly let me take photos of them showing off some of their couples yoga moves. It was a lot fun, as you can see!
And then this week I got to take photos at Pure Barre Brookline! The studio just opened, and you know I LOOOVE Pure Barre! I had so much fun playing around with the giant mirrors in the studio.

outtakes: the beginning
I got to play around with my fancy shmancy camera a little bit today! It was fun.
Alrighty then. I'm going to leave it at that. See you later!
*EDITED TO ADD: My lovely model is wearing all lululemon!

snow day fun
Bob has a snow day from work, so I insisted we go grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. Yes, we are "those people" who show up during a damn blizzard and buy pineapple juice, a giant baguette, and cheese... then head out on our merry way.
I took my camera with me, because I am totally obnoxious. And then I made Bob take pictures of me jumping and pretending to do yoga. Yep.

my one-sixths birthday!
I didn't have a party on my actual birthday in December, so my beautiful friends indulged me A LOT and let me celebrate a "1/6ths Birthday Party" this past weekend! And they let me wear yoga pants, too! Good times were had - lots of (maybe too much?) alcohol, lots of dancing and foosball, and lots of laughter. Thank you for coming out and celebrating with me! I love you all!
I... don't know... |
We ended up shutting down the bar at Mass Ave Tavern, like a bunch of crazy college kids. Woot woot!

it's always sunny in philadelphia
Philadelphia Museum of Art |
On Sunday, I took a whirlwind, 24-hour trip to Philadelphia to visit one of my best friends! We walked all over the city so I could see the sights, like the Museum of Art. Look familiar? It's from Rocky #... I forget which one of the bajillion in the series. But I wanted to run up the steps, just like in that famous scene! My parents are huge fans of the original movies (as in, not Rocky Balboa).
With the 'Rocky' statue! |
Then we went to the Flyers Carnival! I was finally surrounded by THOUSANDS of people in orange and black Flyers gear. Yes, I know. I live in Boston. With all the Bruins/Celtics/Red Sox/Patriots fans. It's fine. I can deal with the heckling. Anyway, the carnival raises money for charities and non-profits in the Philly region. Fans can pay for autographs and photos from their favorite players - current and alumni!
My friend and I made a beeline for Sean Couturier's autograph booth. He's my favorite Flyers player, and I came armed with my very own Couturier t-shirt for him to sign. Once it was my turn, I completely panicked and started acting like a 13-year old girl. I giggled, shouted "I LOVE YOU!" at him, and then ran away. Not one of my finer moments, but probably very amusing for everyone else around me.
Waiting for Coots... |
Philadelphia City Hall |
I also got to try my first-ever authentic Philly cheesesteak! It was delicious and greasy and basically everything I'd hoped for. Overall it was an awesome trip! My only regret is that it was so short! I promised my friend that I'd be back for a longer trip during the spring or summer. Next time I want to see the Liberty Bell!
